We continue to misunderstand one another, despite having more information about our fellow humans than ever. Media causes but can also alleviate this, and through film, photography, words and audio I want to give an undistorted voice to people and communities who struggle to be heard.

About Lucy

After graduating in modern languages from Edinburgh University I completed a post graduate diploma in journalism and spent 5 years working in the UK television industry for: Hewland International, Granada (ITV), Tiger Aspect and the BBC. Between 2007 and 2011 I lived in Afghanistan, Chad and Niger working for the International NGO, Equal Access. I collaborated with teams of local script writers and producers, making radio, television and theatre.

I produced and directed two documentary films during this time and wrote features for the British Press, including The Times, Times 2, Steppe Magazine, Country Life, Grazia. I am now a freelance videographer, photographer and writer, based in Jerusalem; currently working on projects here and elsewhere in the Arab region.

Key Skills: DSLR stills/video camera and audio; Final Cut Pro X; Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom and multimedia software; Good French, Spanish and Portuguese; Basic Arabic and Farsi.
